How to replace a cracked or broken mobile phone screen

If your phone's screen is cracked or shattered, it may be difficult to navigate and use your device. Fortunately, replacing a broken mobile phone screen doesn't have to be complicated. With a few simple steps and supplies, you can easily replace a cracked or shattered mobile phone glass screen with a brand new one.

Make sure you have the right supplies before you start. Depending on the make and model of your phone, you'll probably need a small Phillips-head screwdriver, a plastic opening tool and, of course, a new replacement screen. The new screen should come with an adhesive strip that needs to be attached to the frame of the phone, so make sure this is included with your purchase.

Then switch off the appliance and remove the rear panel or battery cover. This will require unscrewing all the screws holding the rear panel. Then carefully separate the rear panel from the main body of the appliance using a plastic opening tool. After removing the rear panel, disconnect all the wires, such as the battery cables, and put them aside. Doing so will protect the appliance from any damage during the repair process.

You can now start removing the old screen. Using the tool, carefully lift and remove the screen assembly that holds the glass. Once the screen assembly is removed, you should be able to see the old glass screen clearly. Carefully remove the glass by lifting one edge of the glass and slowly prying it away from the frame.

The last step is to put the new screen in its place. Start by removing the protective film from the new glass and attaching the adhesive tape to its frame. Then carefully slide the new screen into place and secure it with screws. Once the new screen is in place, reassemble the device by connecting any previously removed cables or components. Finally, switch on your phone to make sure everything works properly.

Replacing a cracked or broken mobile phone screen doesn't have to be a daunting project. With the right supplies and instructions, you can easily and quickly replace a cracked or broken glass screen with a new one!
