Replacement/repair of display inverters

When the laptop's screen does not display an image, one potential fault is a faulty inverter. This component is only present in older laptops with CCFL displays, which are illuminated by lamps rather than LEDs. A high voltage is required to light the lamp. It is the inverter that generates this high voltage. It is a small component that acts as an intermediary between the power output of the laptop's motherboard and the display. The most common inverter fault is burnt windings. In exceptional cases we will repair the same inverter, but in most cases it is best to replace it with a new one. We always have these parts on site.

When the inverter fails, the image is not displayed on the screen, but is actually visible (visible outlines) when the external lamp is illuminated.
