A Citroen navigation update is needed when the map no longer shows new streets, roundabouts or bypasses, and the route leads where the road no longer exists. Different Citroen models were fitted with different systems in different years, so we first determine what equipment is installed in your car and only then choose the map version.

How much does the update cost? The initial diagnostics costs 10 €. We tell you the map update price after diagnostics and agree on it before the work, because it depends on the system.
Do I need to book an appointment? No. Visit any service point during working hours, Mon–Fri 9:00–18:00. There is no need to call in advance.
What do you need to know about the car? The model, year of manufacture and VIN number. For systems with an HDD, the VIN number is required.
Is a warranty provided for the update? Yes, a 1-year warranty is provided for map updates.

Myths about updating Citroen navigation

Myth. Maps cannot be updated because the system is old. In fact. It depends on the system and model. We update the systems listed on this page – from RT3 to RT6.
Myth. Any map card or disc will do. In fact. The map data depends on the system type, the year of manufacture and sometimes the VIN.
Myth. If the navigation does not read the disc, it is faulty. In fact. Not always. If the system does not read the disc, we first check whether the software needs to be updated.

Which Citroen systems we update

We update Lithuanian (detailed) and European maps for these systems. Compatibility depends on the system and year of manufacture, and the appearance of the navigation units may differ.

The maps for newer systems cover about 40 countries, including Lithuania (detailed), Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Germany, Sweden, Norway and Finland.

eMyWay RT6 with HDD (SMEG, SMEG+, SMEG6): C3-DS3, C4-DS4, C5-DS5, Berlingo, Jumpy from 2010–2012; HDD and VIN are required.
MyWay (WipNav) with SD card: C3-DS3, C4, C5, C8, Berlingo, Jumpy from 2008–2009.
WipCom 3D NaviDrive (DVD/USB/SD) and NaviDrive HDD (Mitsubishi MMCS): C5 from 2009.
NaviDrive WIP Com and Connect Com RT4–RT5: C4, C5 (2006–2009), C6, C8, Jumper.
NaviDrive RT3: C2, C3, C4, C5, C6, C8, Jumper, manufactured in 2003–2008.

How to tell that your maps are outdated

If the route leads through fields, a roundabout is shown as a crossroads, and a newly built road is called an „unknown street”, the map is out of date. For older disc-based systems (RT3, RT4, RT5), the maps are provided on several discs by region, so Lithuania and the Baltic states are on a separate disc.

If the system does not read the disc, we check whether the software needs to be updated and determine its version – RT3 has two different software update discs. If the position is displayed incorrectly, see why the navigation shows the wrong location.

Is it worth updating an old Citroen navigation system

In most cases, yes, because after updating the maps you continue to use the system that is already installed and familiar to you. The price depends on the system type, so we give it after diagnostics and agree on it with you before the work.

We update the maps. We update the maps in the way that suits your system and, if necessary, the software as well.
You pick up your car. Once the work is finished, you can continue your journey with updated maps.

Can the navigation in a Citroen C5 be updated?

Yes. Several systems were installed in the C5 – from Dayton VDO to eMyWay – so we first determine which one is in your car and then select the suitable version.

Can the update be free of charge?

We do not promise a free update. The initial diagnostics cost €10, and we give you the update price after the diagnostics and agree on it with you before the work.

Will you update a system with an HDD?

Yes, we update eMyWay RT6 and NaviDrive HDD systems. This system requires the HDD and a known VIN number.

What is the difference between SD and disc updates?

MyWay uses an SD card, eMyWay RT6 and NaviDrive HDD use a hard drive, and RT3–RT5 use regional map discs. More in how to install new maps.
