Cartridge refilling in Kaunas: how to get to the Šilainiai service point

The service point is located in the new „Rimi“ store on Baltijos Street, Baltijos g. 58, in Šilainiai. It is open Mon–Fri from 9 to 18 and closed on weekends.

When you bring in a cartridge, you can choose one of two options: leave your own to be refilled, or immediately take an already refilled cartridge of the same model for the same price. When the cartridge is on site, the replacement takes about 5 minutes.

Transport the cartridge in its original packaging or in a bag, keeping it horizontal – this reduces the likelihood of leftover toner spilling out.

Cartridge or printer: how to tell before you go

Not every faint page means the toner has run out. Before taking the cartridge in, it is worth looking at the printout and trying a few simple things.

If the printout improves briefly after you shake the cartridge, the toner is most likely indeed running low. If the same streak or spot repeats in the same place, the drum or cleaning blade may be to blame.   • Faint but still legible text – most often the toner is running out; read more about it in the article about faint printing.
  • Streaks across the whole page or crumbling toner – the drum or blade may be damaged.
  • An error appeared after refilling – it is worth checking the chip; it is especially important for HP M110w and M140w models.
  • Smudges remain even with a new cartridge – then the problem is in the printer.

What happens when you leave a cartridge or printer

Refill prices are listed in the price list, and we will tell you the exact amount for your cartridge model on the spot. In the price list, prices include VAT where indicated. Some chips, for example for the Xerox 3020, have to be ordered – in that case the wait is 3–5 business days.

If it turns out that the problem is inside the printer itself, an initial diagnostic is carried out for €10. We tell you the repair price after it and agree on it before starting work. Original parts are used, the work comes with a warranty, and if needed we can issue a certificate for an insurance company or another institution.

If the cartridge has already been refilled several times, tell the technician – this way you will find out more quickly whether it is worth refilling it again.
