Welding machine repair in Vilnius: how to bring your machine to Žirmūnai

You will find the service centre in Žirmūnai, in the New Small „Rimi” store next to McDonald’s, under the „elMeistrai” sign. The exact address and map are shown in the service centre card alongside. You don’t need to call or book in advance, just come Mon–Fri between 9 and 18.

An inverter machine is usually not heavy, so many of them are easy to carry in yourself. Before setting off, unplug it from the socket, coil up the cables and, if you have one, put the machine in a box or bag so that the fan grille and the controls are not damaged.

Do not open the machine yourself: the capacitors in inverters retain voltage for some time even after being disconnected from the mains.

What happens when you leave the machine for diagnostics

The technician inspects the casing, cables and connectors, then measures the power supply circuit, the rectifier, the power section and the control. This establishes whether the problem is a simple one, such as a cable, fan or gas hose, or a deeper one, such as transistors or the control board.

Diagnostics costs 10 €. After it you will learn the cause of the fault and the repair price, and work begins only with your consent. The turnaround time depends on the fault and the parts required, so it is worth discussing it together with the price. We use original parts, provide a warranty for our work and, if necessary, issue a certificate for an insurance company or another institution.

If the machine was working and then stopped, tell us at what current and for how long it was running. This helps to find the cause faster.

When it is worth repairing a machine rather than buying a new one

The price depends on which unit has failed. According to the price list, fan replacement and internal cleaning start from 25 €, torch cable and connector repair also from 25 €, and wire feed mechanism repair from 35 €. Overheating, wire jamming or a sparking cable usually originate from such units.

Power transistor and control board repairs cost more (from 55 € and from 60 €). Even then, repair often pays off if the machine is of a good brand or has many settings that are important to you.
