Sewing machine repair in Vilnius: how to bring your machine to the Žirmūnai service point

The service point is in Žirmūnai, in the Naujoji small “Rimi” store next to McDonald’s. Look for the “elMeistrai” sign. We work Monday to Friday from 9 am to 6 pm; the service point is closed on weekends.

There is no need to register in advance or call before coming – just come during working hours. It is safest to transport a domestic machine in its case or in a box so that the needle holder does not bend. If you are unsure about an industrial machine, ask the technician on site.

If the fault appears only occasionally, film the machine while it sews and note which thread and fabric you used.

What happens after you leave the machine

First, an initial diagnostic is carried out for 10 €. The technician checks the mechanics, motor, pedal and, if the machine is computerized, the control board, and then identifies the specific fault.

You will learn the repair price after diagnostics. Approximate prices are shown in the table above: for example, cleaning and lubrication or mechanical work starts from 15 €, and repair of the electrical part from 20 €. The final amount depends on the model and parts, and it is agreed before the repair. If the price does not suit you, the decision is yours.

Original parts are used for repairs, and a warranty is provided for the work performed. Ask the technician about the repair time once it is clear what has failed.

When it is worth repairing, and when to think about a new machine

An old metal-body machine is often worth repairing: its mechanism is simple, and the most common problems are hardened lubricant, a worn belt, or a needle and hook that have gone out of sync. Such work usually costs considerably less than a new machine of a similar class.
