How to get to the „Arena“ service with your navigation device

The service is located in the „Arena“ shopping centre. You can leave your car in the centre’s car park and enter through the entrance closer to „Akropolis“. Our door is next to the KIKA and JYSK stores.

It is enough to show the technician the device and briefly explain what is wrong: whether the maps are simply outdated, the navigation won’t turn on, or it shows the wrong location. If the problem appears only while driving, e.g. the satellite signal disappears, mention it right away – this shortens the search for the cause.

If you can, before coming, write down when you last updated the maps and whether that attempt ended with an error – this helps the technician get oriented faster.

What happens after you leave the device

First, we perform initial diagnostics for 10 €. We check the software, the map version, the memory card or internal memory, the power and charging port, the battery and the screen.

After diagnostics, we tell you what needs to be done and how much it will cost. We do not start work until the price is agreed. Original parts are used, and a warranty is provided for the work performed.

When new maps are enough and when repair is needed

If the navigation turns on, finds satellites and just guides you along outdated roads, installing a newer map version is usually enough. For Garmin and similar portable devices this starts from 15 €, for iGo or WinCE systems – from 20 €, and for built-in car navigation systems – from 40 €.

Repair is needed when the device freezes at the logo, won’t boot, discharges quickly or shows a different location than where you are. In such cases, trying to install new maps is often pointless, because the cause may be a software fault, the charging port or the GPS antenna.
