Preventive cleaning and repair of your coffee machine is an important process that not only ensures the longevity of the machine, but can also slightly change the taste of your favourite coffee and the performance of the machine. So what changes can you expect?
- Ensuring cleanliness and safety. Preventive cleaning removes mould, grease, dirt and lime deposits from the internal system of the machine. In addition, a special coating is applied to the inside of the system which reduces the accumulation of coffee oil residues by up to two times. The water system is cleaned and disinfected using professional hygiene products.
- Better coffee grinding quality. The cleaned and calibrated coffee grinder ensures even grinding of coffee beans. This means that the coffee should flow out of the machine in neat, tapering ribbons.
- Change in bulges. After preventive cleaning, the coffee cake from the machine resumes its beautiful, regular shape, resembling a tablet about 2-3 cm thick.
- The sound of the machine changes. A cleaned water system and possibly a replaced water pump can make the machine run slightly louder but more efficiently.
- Changing the water filter. If a water filter is used, it is recommended to change it every two months or after 60 litres of filtered water. Ageing filters can lose their effectiveness.
- Effects of transport. Returning the machine may cause vibrations that cause drops of ground coffee and water to scatter inside the machine. However, this should not affect the maintenance carried out or the quality of the coffee.
- Changes in taste. After cleaning and disinfection, the water temperature rises on average by 2 to 10 degrees and the amount and coarseness of the ground coffee changes. This may slightly affect the taste.
We recommend taking some time to adjust the machine's settings to ensure that every cup of coffee continues to taste great and is a pleasant start to your day.
