motorway sections do not appear on the screen. We update Honda DVD navigation systems \u2013 both with voice control (APN2\/APN3) and without it (APN2). This is part of the car-specific <a href=\"https:\/\/elmeistrai.lt\/en\/navigaciju-atnaujinimas\/\">navigation updates<\/a> family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Important to know in advance: not every Honda system can be updated. We do not update systems with an HDD, SD or SSD map storage medium. Below is how to identify your system in a minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list em-quick\">\n<li><strong>How much does an update cost?<\/strong> We give the exact price after diagnostics and agree on it before the work. The initial diagnostics cost 10 \u20ac. Indicative prices are in the table below.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Which Honda systems do you update?<\/strong> APN2\/APN3 DVD disc systems: with and without voice control. We do not update HDD, SD and SSD systems.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Do I need to register?<\/strong> No. Just come to any service point during working hours: Mon\u2013Fri 9:00\u201318:00. We are closed at weekends.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Do you provide a warranty for the update?<\/strong> Yes, map updates come with a 1-year warranty. The technician will confirm the warranty terms when you collect the car.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"simptomai\">What the symptoms show: when Honda navigation needs attention<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Most often people come because of outdated maps, but sometimes the problem is not in the data but in the system itself. Here are typical cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"em-symptoms\"><article class=\"em-symptom\"><p class=\"em-symptom__n\">01<span class=\"em-symptom__price\">from 60 \u20ac<\/span><\/p><h3 class=\"em-symptom__title\">Honda navigation does not know new roads<\/h3><p class=\"em-symptom__why\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">Why<\/span>An old map version is stored on the disc. The latest European version for APN2\/APN3 systems is v3.8, and for older systems without voice \u2013 v2.11.<\/p><p class=\"em-symptom__diy\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">Check it yourself<\/span>Check the map version in the navigation menu (in the information or system section) and tell it to the technician.<\/p><p class=\"em-symptom__fix\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">What we do<\/span>We install the latest suitable map version for your system.<\/p><\/article><article class=\"em-symptom\"><p class=\"em-symptom__n\">02<span class=\"em-symptom__price\">from 60 \u20ac<\/span><\/p><h3 class=\"em-symptom__title\">Honda CR-V navigation update<\/h3><p class=\"em-symptom__why\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">Why<\/span>The 2007\u20132013 CR-V with voice control and DVD can be updated, as well as 2002\u20132006 versions without voice. Newer CR-Vs (from 2012 with SD) cannot be updated.<\/p><p class=\"em-symptom__diy\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">Check it yourself<\/span>Without dismantling anything, look at whether the screen bezel has an HDD label: if you can see it, the system does not belong to the updatable group.<\/p><p class=\"em-symptom__fix\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">What we do<\/span>We determine the system type and select a map set with detailed Lithuania.<\/p><\/article><article class=\"em-symptom\"><p class=\"em-symptom__n\">03<span class=\"em-symptom__price\">from 60 \u20ac<\/span><\/p><h3 class=\"em-symptom__title\">Honda Accord or Civic navigation shows an old map<\/h3><p class=\"em-symptom__why\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">Why<\/span>Accord with voice control fits 2005\/12\u20132013, without voice \u2013 2003\u20132005. Civic with voice \u2013 2006\u20132011, without voice \u2013 2004\u20132005. You need to confirm whether voice control is present and whether there is an HDD label.<\/p><p class=\"em-symptom__diy\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">Check it yourself<\/span>Look for a button with a speaking person icon on the steering wheel. After pressing it, say &#8222;MENU&#8221; \u2013 if the Honda voice responds, voice control is present.<\/p><p class=\"em-symptom__fix\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">What we do<\/span>Based on the car&#8217;s year and the system&#8217;s features, we select the right DVD version.<\/p><\/article><article class=\"em-symptom\"><p class=\"em-symptom__n\">04<span class=\"em-symptom__price\">from 80 \u20ac<\/span><\/p><h3 class=\"em-symptom__title\">Honda navigation disc is not displayed or is read incorrectly<\/h3><p class=\"em-symptom__why\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">Why<\/span>Most often a scratched or worn disc, a dirty lens or a faulty reader in the navigation unit.<\/p><p class=\"em-symptom__diy\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">Check it yourself<\/span>Inspect the disc for scratches or fingerprints. Do not try to open the unit.<\/p><p class=\"em-symptom__fix\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">What we do<\/span>We diagnose the drive and the reader, and repair or replace the faulty part.<\/p><\/article><article class=\"em-symptom\"><p class=\"em-symptom__n\">05<\/p><h3 class=\"em-symptom__title\">SD card won&#8217;t insert into Honda navigation<\/h3><p class=\"em-symptom__why\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">Why<\/span>If the card won&#8217;t insert without opening the screen, it is an SD system, which we do not update. On DVD systems, the card slot, if there is one, is located under the screen.<\/p><p class=\"em-symptom__diy\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">Check for yourself<\/span>Without opening the screen, try the slot; if the card fits, it is an SD system. Do not force it.<\/p><p class=\"em-symptom__fix\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">What we do<\/span>We check the system type and tell you whether an update is possible.<\/p><\/article><article class=\"em-symptom\"><p class=\"em-symptom__n\">06<\/p><h3 class=\"em-symptom__title\">HDD is displayed on the screen<\/h3><p class=\"em-symptom__why\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">Why<\/span>This is an HDD navigation system (e.g., CR-V 2009\u20132011). The maps are stored on the hard drive, and we do not update such systems.<\/p><p class=\"em-symptom__diy\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">Check for yourself<\/span>Without taking anything apart, check whether the screen bezel has an HDD label.<\/p><p class=\"em-symptom__fix\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">What we do<\/span>When you arrive, we will tell you whether another solution is still possible.<\/p><\/article><article class=\"em-symptom\"><p class=\"em-symptom__n\">07<span class=\"em-symptom__price\">from 70 \u20ac<\/span><\/p><h3 class=\"em-symptom__title\">Honda navigation screen flickers or shows no picture<\/h3><p class=\"em-symptom__why\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">Why<\/span>Most often the backlight, the screen ribbon cable or the power circuit is wearing out. We do not update them.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Myth.<\/strong> If I see a microphone symbol on the screen, voice control is available. <strong>In fact.<\/strong> Not necessarily. The microphone may be only for the hands-free system. Check the button on the steering wheel and try the command &#8222;MENIU&#8221;.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Myth.<\/strong> A newer car always has newer maps. <strong>In fact.<\/strong> The map version depends on the system and the previous update, not just on the year of manufacture.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"honda-navigacijos-zemelapiai-kurios-sistemos-tin\">Honda navigation maps: which systems are compatible<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We update two groups of Honda DVD systems. The first is with voice control (Voice Recognition), maps v3.8: Legend 2006\u20132010, Accord 2005\/12\u20132013, CR-V 2007\u20132013, Civic 2006\u20132011, CR-Z and Insight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second is without voice control (v2.11): Accord 2003\u20132005, CR-V 2002\u20132006, FR-V, Stream, Jazz 2002\u20132007 and Civic 2004\u20132005. Most often it is an outdated map, not the GPS signal.
