Some cars need a DVD, others an SD card, so first we determine which system is installed in your Ford.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Below you will find which systems we update, how to tell that your maps are outdated and what to bring. For general information about navigation for all car makes, see the <a href=\"https:\/\/elmeistrai.lt\/en\/navigaciju-atnaujinimas\/\">navigation update page<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list em-quick\">\n<li><strong>How much does a Ford map update cost?<\/strong> The initial diagnostics cost \u20ac10. The final price depends on the system and the map version; we will tell you after diagnostics and agree on it with you before any work begins.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Do I need to book an appointment?<\/strong> No. You do not need to register or call in advance \u2013 simply visit any service point during working hours, Mon\u2013Fri 9:00\u201318:00.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>What warranty do you provide?<\/strong> Map updates come with a 1-year warranty. The maps supplied are the latest available for your system.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Will you update any Ford system?<\/strong> No. We do not update Blaupunkt TravelPilot EX and NX systems. You can find the list of other system types on this page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"simptomai\">How to tell that your Ford maps are outdated<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">People most often search for &#8222;ford navigacija update&#8221; or &#8222;ford navigacija mape&#8221; when they notice these signs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"em-symptoms\"><article class=\"em-symptom\"><p class=\"em-symptom__n\">01<span class=\"em-symptom__price\">from 40 \u20ac<\/span><\/p><h3 class=\"em-symptom__title\">Ford navigation does not know about new roads and roundabouts<\/h3><p class=\"em-symptom__why\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">Why<\/span>The maps were recorded several years ago, and the road network in Lithuania changes every year. The system does not update its maps on its own.<\/p><p class=\"em-symptom__diy\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">Check it yourself<\/span>Check the map version in the system settings menu and write it down.<\/p><p class=\"em-symptom__fix\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">What we do<\/span>We identify the system type and load the latest Lithuanian and European maps onto your SD card or disc.<\/p><\/article><article class=\"em-symptom\"><p class=\"em-symptom__n\">02<span class=\"em-symptom__price\">10 \u20ac<\/span><\/p><h3 class=\"em-symptom__title\">Ford Mondeo, S-Max or Focus navigation shows the car driving across fields<\/h3><p class=\"em-symptom__why\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">Why<\/span>The new road has not been recorded yet, so the system thinks you are off the road. This is a map problem, not a GPS receiver problem. Learn more in the article <a href=\"https:\/\/elmeistrai.lt\/kodel-navigacija-rodo-neteisinga-vieta\/\">why navigation shows the wrong location<\/a>.<\/p><p class=\"em-symptom__diy\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">Check it yourself<\/span>Drive to an open area without buildings and wait a few minutes while the system finds satellites.<\/p><p class=\"em-symptom__fix\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">What we do<\/span>Initial diagnostics cost \u20ac10. If the location is displayed correctly but the road is missing, we update the maps according to the price list. If not, we check the receiver and the software.<\/p><\/article><article class=\"em-symptom\"><p class=\"em-symptom__n\">03<span class=\"em-symptom__price\">10 \u20ac<\/span><\/p><h3 class=\"em-symptom__title\">Ford navigation shows only directions, without a map<\/h3><p class=\"em-symptom__why\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">Why<\/span>Older Blaupunkt TravelPilot systems (1998\u20132010) have a monochrome screen and show only the direction; there is no map. This is a feature of the system, not a fault.<\/p><p class=\"em-symptom__fix\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">What we do<\/span>We tell you whether the media for your model can be updated. We do not update TravelPilot EX and NX.<\/p><\/article><article class=\"em-symptom\"><p class=\"em-symptom__n\">04<span class=\"em-symptom__price\">from \u20ac40<\/span><\/p><h3 class=\"em-symptom__title\">Ford Transit or Fiesta navigation does not detect the SD card<\/h3><p class=\"em-symptom__why\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">Why<\/span>The card may be damaged, in the wrong format or recorded for a different system. SYNC systems check the card very strictly.<\/p><p class=\"em-symptom__diy\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">Check it yourself<\/span>Remove and reinsert the card, and check that it is not bent or scratched.<\/p><p class=\"em-symptom__fix\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">What we do<\/span>We check the card and the data on it and, if necessary, prepare a new map card.<\/p><\/article><article class=\"em-symptom\"><p class=\"em-symptom__n\">05<span class=\"em-symptom__price\">10 \u20ac<\/span><\/p><h3 class=\"em-symptom__title\">Ford Kuga or C-Max navigation freezes on start-up<\/h3><p class=\"em-symptom__why\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">Why<\/span>Most often it is a corrupted map file or a system software error after a failed update.<\/p><p class=\"em-symptom__diy\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">Check it yourself<\/span>Turn off the ignition, wait a few minutes and restart the system.<\/p><p class=\"em-symptom__fix\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">What we do<\/span>Initial diagnostics cost \u20ac10: we find out whether the file or the system is at fault. If the maps need to be rewritten, the price is given after diagnostics and agreed before any work begins.<\/p><\/article><article class=\"em-symptom\"><p class=\"em-symptom__n\">06<span class=\"em-symptom__price\">from 40 \u20ac<\/span><\/p><h3 class=\"em-symptom__title\">Ford navigation disc is not readable<\/h3><p class=\"em-symptom__why\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">Why<\/span>The DVD is scratched or the reader is worn out. This is common in older DENSO systems.<\/p><p class=\"em-symptom__diy\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">Check it yourself<\/span>Inspect the disc and wipe it with a soft cloth from the centre towards the edges.<\/p><p class=\"em-symptom__fix\"><span class=\"em-symptom__k\">What we do<\/span>We write a new map disc. The maps are stored on the disc or card and change only when a new version is written.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Myth.<\/strong> A map card can be used in any Ford. <strong>In fact.<\/strong> The card is prepared for a specific system: MCA, MFD or SYNC. The system will not recognise an unsuitable one.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Myth.<\/strong> It is not worth updating the maps on an old Ford. <strong>In fact.<\/strong> Many systems from before 2010 can still be updated. We will give you an exact answer once we determine your system type.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Myth.<\/strong> An update can damage the car&#8217;s software. <strong>In fact.<\/strong> A map update changes only the map data. It is important to use the right version for your system.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"kurias-ford-navigacijos-sistemas-atnaujiname\">Which Ford navigation systems we update<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We update DENSO DVD systems (Ford 2004\u20132007), Blaupunkt TravelPilot DX, MFD, 9000VNR and Becker (1998\u20132010), TravelPilot FX with SD card (Focus, C-Max, S-Max, Mondeo, Galaxy, Kuga, Transit), MCA with SD card, MFD SYNC and SONY I SYNC systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Newer SYNC systems cover maps of Europe.
